Parking Lot Temp-69

Conditions- Mostly clear, slight breeze. Great night for racing.

Crowd- The stands are packed for the most part, the infield isn’t too crowded.

T&A- Excellent samples early were covered up by the time the heat races started. The VIP section had a good sampling.           

Car Count- 37

Notes- The backstretch rest rooms are a great improvement. It’s been a long time coming. Thank You Williams Grove. There are so many late models here tonight that they are pitted out through the back pit gate and into the parking lot! It’s gonna be a long night. The racing fuel that the late models run smells great! Fred Rahmer has to tag the rear tonight if he qualifies as a result of penalties from last weeks incident with Lucas Wolfe. Greg Hodnett is back after breaking his shoulder blade last week, OUCH!

 

Warm Ups- The first warm up was uneventful, the track looks quick The 8m got into the fence in turn 1 during the second warm up..

Notes- Rahmer fought his way up to 10th. Without a caution he had no chance to get much further. What a great, fast paced, non- stop race. And, it’s only 11 o’clock! Thanks to BRR, Smitty, 1080 and company for the hospitality.

Notes: After the race, they moved the fireworks up to be next. They were pretty darn good. Another points hit for Rahmer, after missing last week for Knoxville. Esh was close to Layton but just couldn’t pull off the move for the lead. The rains started after the Legends Feature.
